Of course, Kathy Petrino is an enthusiastic traveler and travel blogger, but besides her strong desire to see as much of the world as possible before she is finished, Kathy thankfully loves to write about everything she sees and she also loves to post it all on her travel blog for everyone to see. Kathy Petrino has a fervent desire to share everything and to make it possible for everyone to have the same great experiences she has had. Just as importantly, she wants others who travel to the same places she has to miss as many of the pitfalls as possible.
That includes visits to one of her favorite destinations, which is Texas Wine Country. Kathy is all to well aware that, when people think of wine, Texas is not at the top of their list of wine destinations in the United States and the world, but that is a mistake. The Lone Star State of Texas has been doing quite a bit to improve its reputation in that area, and the Hill Country of the state is now growing some of the best grapes in the country. As a result, dozens of wineries are producing some of the best varietals outside of the West Coast. Kathy Petrino suggests traveling along the Wine Road 290, where you will find a wide range of wines available, including many Malbecs, Cabernets and Tempranillos, as well as hundreds of state-of-the-art tasting rooms. And since it’s Texas, there are also a great many big music and wine events all over Hill Country, like the Kerrville Folk Festival and the Dripping Springs Wine and Food Festival.
